Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina is a Tex-Mex restaurant tucked into a busy stretch of Pasig, offering a casual, no-frills dining experience that leans heavily on hearty, familiar flavors. The space itself is a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, with a slightly aged interior that won’t steal the spotlight but serves its purpose for those here primarily for the food. Expect a straightforward, lively vibe where groups of friends and families come to share plates and dig into bold, comforting dishes.

The menu leans into classic Tex-Mex fare with items like beef nachos, chicken and beef burritos, calliente wings, and seafood paella that satisfy cravings for generous, flavor-packed servings. Among the crowd favorites are the lengua (beef tongue) tacos or burritos, which locals tend to recommend, as well as the beef skewers praised for their tenderness and punchy seasoning even when cooked well done. Portions are substantial enough to leave most diners pleasantly full without needing to order excessively.

For those planning a visit, parking is a known challenge since the eatery doesn’t have its own parking area, so it’s best to come prepared or consider alternative transportation. Payment is also strictly cash-only, so having cash on hand is a practical necessity.

The atmosphere can get lively, especially during meal times, with friendly staff who are quick to assist despite the simplicity of the setup. While the décor and utensils might feel a bit dated, the unpretentious setting encourages a focus on the flavors and portion sizes. Outdoor seating lets diners enjoy whatever breeze is passing, which can be a plus, especially on cooler evenings.

Silantro is a spot suited for those who appreciate straightforward Tex-Mex dishes without fuss, especially fans of burritos and skewered meats. It’s a place where locals come for satisfying meals at reasonable prices, ideal for casual group gatherings or a filling solo meal. The best time to drop by would likely be outside peak lunch or dinner rushes to avoid crowded seating and to enjoy a more relaxed pace.

Food is okay; not as expected but not bad either. Best to get the Lengua taco or burrito; others were so-so.The horchata doesn’t taste horchata at all. Tasted like brown sugar syrup shake.

I have always loved Silantro. The nachos and burritos are really good and “sulit”. I recently tried their beef skewers and I liked it a lot. It was tender and very flavorful even though it was cooked well done. I just wish that they have a parking area because bring a car might be a challenge in this branch. I also hope that someday card payment will be available. Good thing one of us brought cash when we dined in.

Food is always great here. Only inconvenience is that you can only pay with cash only. It is a little older in terms or interior and cutlery but it makes up for it cause I'm here for the great food!

We enjoyed our food and was very full! Serving of each food was perfect, they're delicious as well. Place has outdoor and indoor seating. Their fish taco was a bit bland but all good 1 order comes with 2 tacos. Sauces was nice too. Packed with fresh veggies. Wish we could try their mains maybe on our next visit with friends. Staff was nice and friendly too.

Delicious, savory and delectably flavored lamb and beef medium rare steaks. Thd chicken and corn chowder was chunky and rich but not overwhelming in seasoning.so comforting for rainy weather

We had some burrito, ribs and nachos. I only went here once in 2021. It was a good fil-mex resto and hoping to dine again soon. But I do wonder until now… when we were eating, someone from the barangay summoned them. I’m just curious.

Silantro offers consistently delicious food with generous servings that are definitely worth the price. I especially loved their wings and nachos — both flavorful and satisfying. The only downside is that they currently accept cash only, which can be a bit inconvenient. Still, the overall experience and quality of the food make it a great place to dine.
